This beautifully restored sideboard is a real showstopper – a 1960s piece made in the Art Deco style, influenced by the iconic British furniture makers, Beautility. With her elegant curves and generous storage, she’s the kind of statement furniture that works just as well in a modern home as it does in a vintage-inspired space.
She’s wonderfully practical too. Two large cupboards sit at either end, with a central section of spacious shelves, and four deep drawers offering more than enough room for all your essentials. Whether used for dining storage, living room organisation or as a stylish drinks cabinet, she’s built to be both beautiful and useful.
Every inch of the sideboard has been professionally restored with care and attention. The doors, bottom drawer and all top surfaces were treated with Danish oil, drawing out the rich patina and natural warmth of the wood. The remaining drawers, cupboard interiors and base were fully cleaned, sanded, and painted in Vintage with Grace’s Mr Darcy – a sophisticated shade that complements the wood perfectly. To ensure long-lasting durability, these areas were sealed with Polyvine’s wax-like varnish, known for its hard-wearing finish.
The hardware has been thoughtfully updated too, mixing ornate ceramic knobs with metal cage handles to add a touch of character without overwhelming the original design.
Altogether, she’s an absolute stunner – a durable, charming, one-of-a-kind piece that’s ready to be cherished for many years to come. Whether you use her as a sideboard, a credenza or a drinks cabinet, she’s guaranteed to become the star of the room.
